Disneyworld needs to make a rollercoaster based off of the ride Yzma and Kronk take to the lair. When the ride starts, Yzma’s voice yells “pull the lever, Kronk!” and the ride starts to move backwards so she yells “wrong lever!” and it shoots you forward.

WHY IS THIS NOT HAPPENING?!

What a Gadje is (a response to overly sensitive white hipsters)

Gadje is a slur. It’s a slur as much as any other slur. It was and still is used by Romani to refer to outsiders. I, personally, do not use the Gadje word to refer to general white population-or general population all together, because I do not want to be referred as Gypsy. Respect goes both ways….

If you were really Romani, you would know that this word is most certainly not a slur & never has been

It has one translation & one translation only: non-Romani people.
That’s it.
It doesn’t refer to White people or people of any race. It simply means “not Romani”. We have words for White people, Black people, Jewish people, Arab people, etc.. Gadje ≠ White.

It is a neutral word & has always been a neutral word & is in no way equivalent to “Gypsy”.

I am really tired of people trying to police our speech. I could understand if we were using actual slurs because [shocker] we have them, but “gadje” is not one of them.

If you notice I do have a quip that says “-in general population” this is inclusive to other races. You do not need to bring my heritage into question “if you were really Romani”, because I am. I don’t need affirmation from others to know what my family, and my culture is. To me, Gadje is a slur.

It may not be seen as a slur to you or other Romani, but in my eyes it is-
And as my PERSONAL choice, I choose not to use it to refer to the general populace as it creates an objectification.

In many contexts I’ve heard it used- reminder that this is from my own experience, not yours, or based on your perspective-
It is a way for Romani to downgrade others built on the fear on and persecution of our people.

Which is understandable. It was a way to refer to those who do not share our culture. Now it seems, to me, and might I be lucky to say that most outsiders I’ve come across are receptive to learning, and receptive to proper education from real sources.

So, I believe, as with other names, Gadje should not be used. That is my personal opinion. Whether you share that with me-
I don’t really care. You will continue as you’ve continued, and I will do the same.

The thing is, it is not a slur. Period.

You may not like the word, but it is still not a slur.

It is actually not used to downgrade others & never has been. It simply designates that someone is not one of us. We have never once used that word to make any group of people inferior to us. In fact, since it refers to every single non-Romani person on this planet, that would literally be impossible. Hence, it is not a slur

Do you know what happens when people like you start kissing bulja gadjikane & police the language choices of your own people? You really need to consider that before you start making posts that demonize our word choices by either denying or not fully understanding the history of that word.

Hajde. Makar Rroma san, naj chachimos si tut aver Rroma te phenel majbut sar. Shaj vorbja sar ch***a, j*******e vaj h******a,  phendjam.. hat des muj mande. Vaj chak pe hasnije khanjarki, boyash thaj chokalo/holavo.. hat des muj mande. De kace dume CHI HASNIV. Ude ude ude?!

Ma aves s’akhateke thaj phen man najshtiv te hasniv muri chib. Chachak nos xoxamno. Tivedijs. Igen igen xoxamnali san.

De, mangavtut, vi maj deman.

[..Yoy, saw Rruska phenes? Mozhe pisyenzhom Lowari, ale vakayraw Polska Lowara, na pisyenaw, cha vakayraw i hini kaways(isto/may ayso). Daa…]

Fuck these people.

These are probably the same people who try to say “Goy” is a slur. It’s not, they just want us to use the English word and stop using words they don’t understand.

Because they’re self centered like that.

[does this mean we can add ‘Gadje’ to the list of words referring to outsiders that start with G?]

Wow. No.
I literally do not care what language you choose to speak. I do not wish to “police your speech”. In fact, that post was not meant for you. That post was meant for a slew of hate messages I got in relation to using the word Gadje.

I do not give a single fuck if you still use it. It may be neutral to you.
Still don’t fucking care. I choose not to use it, because it feels like another label that stands in the way of my integration.

So continue as you were before you read that post. It really doesn’t concern you. Gadje is not equal to Gypsy as a slur since it’s never caused anyone any harm.

However to me, I’d prefer to use the term outsider, because in MY OWN EXPERIENCE WITH MY FAMILY WHICH ARE THE ONLY RROMA IVE EVER KNOWN

Gadje was used in a negative connotation. Therefore, I do not use the word unless referring to hateful people. Not only hateful towards Romani, but other ethnicities as well.

So stop speech policing me. Instead of telling me that my view is wrong-
Which it’s not-
Understand why someone may be uncomfortable using it. It’s not up to you or what you decide what is offensive to another person.

I choose to refrain from using the word. I do not expect others to follow suit.

But I do know that if I want to be called a person, then I should very well do the same for others.

Got the IUD inserted today

I opted for the copper paragard, because it doesn’t pump hormones throughout the body. Also, it was similar to what Egyptians used with little to no effect on their fertility.

Hbc, in my honest opinion, has not been around long enough to see long term side effects. (Who knows maybe the spike in ADHD and ADD are repercussions of said bc). There was some pain but now I am roughly 10 hours after insertion and the severe aches and cramps have subsided with the help of aleve.

They’re also fading pretty fast from here so by tomorrow I hope to be back to normal. Pulling a double tomorrow too, so I better be.

However, I do use Gadje to refer to Gadje. Outsiders who believe in the old mindset. That they are superior and everyone else is the lesser. These are Gadje. So when I post something specifically targeting this specific group of ignorant fucks, please don’t take offense.
Unless you’re an ignorant fuck.
